This study investigated the difference in Body mass index (BMI) between Private and Government school children. A total of 265 school children (age 12-13) were selected for the study out of which 145 were from private schools and 120 were from government schools. Body Mass Index (BMI) was calculated by dividing weight in kilograms by height in meters squared for all the students. Independent t test shown that private school students BMI (25.28+2.09) is significantly higher than Government school students BMI (17.47+3.81). | Keywords : | | - school children
