To conduct the study 100 physically challenged female sportspersons (Av. age 23.50 yrs) were selected as sample. The criterion for selection of physically challenged female sportspersons was participation in any sporting event of national games organised for physically disabled people. To fulfill the objectives of the study, 100 physically challenged female non sportspersons (Av. age 22.24 yrs.) were also selected as sample. To assess self confidence of selected subjects, Pandey’s Self Confidence Inventory (1983) was used. Results reveal that self confidence of physically challenged female sportspersons was found to be significantly higher as compared to physically challenged female non-sportspersons. Therefore it may be concluded that participation in competitive sports is beneficial for physically challenged females because it enhance their self confidence. | Keywords : | | - physical challenged females
