The study was formulated as a true random group design consisting of a pre test and post test. The subjects (N=45) were randomly assigned to three equal groups each group consists of fifteen (n=15) subjects. The groups were assigned as experimental group I (low intensity resistance training), experimental group II (high intensity resistance training) and control group respectively. The experimental groups participated in their respective resistance training for a period of three days per week for eight weeks. Pre-test was conducted for all the subjects on muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility. The difference between initial scores and final scores on muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility were subjected to statistical treatment using analysis of covariance ANACOVA was employed. | Keywords : | | - resistance training
