To conduct the study, 200 secondary student athletes of both the sexes (Ave. age 17.11 yrs) were selected. To fulfill the objectives of the present study, another set of 200 non-athlete secondary students (Ave. age 17.21 yrs) of both the sexes were also selected. The criterion for selection of athletes was participation in district/state level tournaments. The sample was purposively selected from schools operational in and around Nagpur (MS). Frustration tolerance of selected subjects was assessed by FRTO prepared by Rai (1989). The results indicate that the frustration tolerance capacity of secondary student athletes was significantly higher as compared non-athlete secondary students. It was concluded that participation in sports develops frustration tolerance capacity of secondary students.
