To achieve this purpose, Eight Basketball teams were selected from various state teams participated in the 50th P S G trophy basketball tournament held at P S G campus Coimbatore district, Tamilnadu during the academic year 2014-2015 and their age ranged from 18 to 28 years. Among the eight teams the successful three points attempts were analysed to know the success rates. ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) was computed to find out the better team among others Scheffe’s post hoc test was used. The findings of the study showed that Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) team has highest conversion rate in 3 point attempts followed by Indian Army, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), Punjab State Team, Indian Navy, Cochin Customs, Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) and Integral Coach Factory (ICF). Result also reveals that Punjab state team has the highest conversion rate in 3 point attempt followed by ONGC, Indian Army, IOB, Punjab State Team, Indian Navy, Cochin Customs, Kerala State Electricity Board and ICF. Among the four teams ONGC team has better playing performance than the other teams. | | Keywords : | | - match analysis
